LITERALLY why I want them to pick their own dresses!! I feel like what you wear seriously affects how you feel about the event and it’s what people talk about FOREVER when thinking about it. I want them to love what they’re wearing so they don’t have to fuss the whole night!

These all look amazing, in my opinion. I’ve been a maid of honour twice and honestly, it was a horrid experience twice over – but that’s a story for another day. When it came to dresses, I had no say both times. The first one I was living interstate so I didn’t get to be part of it and they just asked for my size (which I gave them but my friend decided I was just being “self conscious” and insisted on getting me the size smaller – shock horror, it didn’t fit and I had to run around to find a replacement a few days before the wedding). The second one the bride insisted on a very unique colour – best described as burnt, muddy orange – which surprisingly we could only find one dress that matched it and it was very tacky to say the least.
